About Me

I’m a first-year Ph.D. student at National Taiwan University (NTU) in Graduate Institute of Network and Multimedia, advised by Pu-Jen Cheng, and also a Research Scientist at AI Lab, SinoPac Holdings. Prior to that, I received my M.S. in Financial Engineering from National Chengchi University (NCCU) in 2024, advised by Kendro Vincent, and my B.A. in Public Finance also from NCCU in 2022. I’ve also interned at iKala AI Lab and WorldQuant LLC. as a Data Scientist and Research Consultant, respectively.

Research-wise, I’m interested in two main areas:

  1. Generative Retrieval: I currently focus on investigating the continual learning capabilities of GR models, and the ability of GR models to retrieve relevant items when generating responses.

  2. Financial Machine Learning: Despite convention training paradigms that pursue minimized error with complex structures and designation, I aim to explore the potential of Learning to Rank (LTR), and simple-yet-effective models which connects to the essence of empirical asset pricing.

🔖 Misc

Besides research, I also enjoy in three different kinds of activities:

  • Sports: I currently jog and participate in marathons. Besides that, I also play basketball and pool ball.
  • Music: I play the both acoustic and electric guitar, and I also enjoy singing. I’ve been a member of the NCCU RNR club for 3 years.
  • Fashion: I’m a huge fan of japanese street fashion, clothes brands like Needles, Nanamica, and jewelry brands like Kenkikuchi, Horizon Blue are my favorites.
